Newsletter 20th March

Dear visitors and members of Brussels Drohme Golf Club,

Welcome to this week’s newsletter! We have a few important topics to discuss, so let’s get started.

WelcOHme Days (13 to 21 April):
We’re delighted to announce our first WelcOHme Days! These special days will take place from 13 to 21 April. It’s a fantastic time full of events and competitions for all our club members and visitors. Make sure you take part in the activities and enjoy the golfing experience. For the golfers amongst you, sign up for a free masterclass from our PGA Professionals. For non-golfers (and therefore also your friends or family members), you can sign up for an introduction to golf, also completely free of charge.
In addition, demonstration days will be organised on both weekends, with all the major brands in attendance. If you’d like a tailor-made fit, you can already register via the golf shop.
And as if that wasn’t enough, there will be a competition each day, followed by a prize-giving ceremony with fantastic prizes to be won and raffled off! More on this in a future newsletter.
If you’d like more information about WelcOHme Days, please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone, email or simply come and visit us!

Membership badges:
We would like to remind all members to wear their membership badge clearly visible when visiting the club. This helps us to ensure safety on the course and allows all members to be easily identified. We kindly ask you to remove old membership badges as this often leads to confusion. If you do not yet have a badge, but are a member, these are available from the secretariat.

Hedgehogs:
You can play again without hedgehogs from now on. The other rules of etiquette to protect your course remain in force, such as replacing divots, repairing your pitchmark and raking bunkers. Respecting club rules and taking care of the course are essential for an enjoyable golfing experience for all.

Check-in before playing:
Don’t forget to check-in before you go out on the course. This helps us plan course occupancy and ensures that everyone has a fair chance to enjoy a round of golf. You can register via the QR code on the secretary’s door or simply by coming to see us.

Student jobs:
For the 2024 season, we are looking for various students to work in the various activities of the golf club, the restaurant and to support events. If you have some free time in the evenings and at weekends and would like to work in a fantastic environment with a great team, or if you know someone who might be suitable, please email us at info@bdgc.be with your name, contact details and the days and times you would like to be contacted.
