HANDICAP 45 CERTIFICATION (update 05/06/2023)

Throughout the month of June, our young players who already have their handicap 54 can attempt to progress to the next level and obtain their handicap 45 !

To do so, we invite them to regularly participate in one of our small 9-hole competitions held on Junior Days (Wednesday June 14th and June 28th) or in one of our bonus sessions organized on Fridays the 23rd and the 30th of June, as well as on Saturday, July 1st, during our Nationalities Festival ! 

Supervised by the pros or initiators, if they observe that your child has achieved the necessary number of points on the first 5 holes of the course and can demonstrate a mastery of the essential rules for playing safely on the course, they will obtain the precious certification !

(Prior approval from their Pro is required).

As you know, progressing in golf takes time and requires regular practice. Playing on the course is primarily an opportunity for them to put into practice their technical and theoretical knowledge, and an essential step in their development as it is the final goal of the golfer ! The certification is the icing on the cake! If your child has participated but hasn’t yet succeeded in this step, no problem, they can participate multiple times, and additional sessions will be offered starting in September.

Do you have doubts about your child’s current handicap? Soon, you will find this information at the information board of the Juniors section (large glass windows along the PROS Room at the entrance of the clubhouse).

To register your child for one of these mini competitions, please visit the website i-golf.be and log in with your child’s federal number. You will find the relevant dates in the competition calendar. If you have any doubts, don’t hesitate to contact the secretariat, who will assist you in this process.

COMPETITIONS & JUNIORS ACTIVITIES AT THE BDGC

The Junior Committee is pleased to announce that starting from April, there will be a golf and leisure activity day held one Saturday per month, open to all juniors from the Academy (9-hole competitions at BDGC, outings and recognitions on 18-hole courses, bowling, masterclasses, etc.).
We hope to see many of you there!

The competition season will soon be starting, and you will have the opportunity to put all your skills to use by participating in the numerous competitions organized in your club as well as on many other wonderful courses throughout Belgium!
The French-speaking and Dutch-speaking Golf federations organize competitions throughout the year that are open to all ages and levels. We remind you that as a member of BDGC, a bilingual club in the Brussels-Capital region, all juniors are automatically affiliated to both Belgian federations and can therefore participate in competitions organized in both linguistic regions, a great opportunity to discover all the most beautiful golf courses in our country !
