Sylvain Marcol Appointed Head Pro of Brussels Drohme Golf Club

The Brussels Drohme Golf Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Sylvain Marcol as Head Pro.
A key member of the teaching team for over twenty years, Sylvain embodies the club’s values and spirit: passion for the game, excellence in teaching, and the friendly atmosphere that defines the BDGC.

A rich and inspiring career
Originally from the Drôme region, trained in Paris at the Racing Club de France and the Leadbetter Academy, Sylvain earned PGA professional status in 1995.
He joined the Brussels Drohme Golf Club in 2000 and has been teaching there ever since, in both French and English.
His experience — on the course and with golf federations — has shaped a teaching approach focused on enjoyment, simplicity, and progression.

A natural and symbolic transition
Sylvain is deeply honored to succeed Tony Bacon, founder of the BDGC Academy and his mentor for many years.
This handover marks a valuable continuity for the club: excellence in teaching, driven by passion and loyalty to the BDGC spirit.

A forward-looking mission
Together with his colleagues, Sylvain will lead the Academy to new heights by:

  • developing new teaching programs,

  • introducing innovative methods tailored to all players,

  • strengthening the quality of coaching for every golfer.

A word from the management
“We are proud to entrust Sylvain with this new responsibility, a reflection of his exemplary commitment, skill, and the trust he inspires in both students and colleagues. His experience and vision fully align with the Brussels Drohme Golf Club’s ambition: to grow a passionate community where everyone enjoys improving their game.”

Our Ladies 2 team won the Senior Interclub final at Golf de La Bruyère! A brilliant victory that perfectly reflects their team spirit, determination, and passion for the game.
A huge congratulations to the whole team for this wonderful achievement and for proudly representing the Brussels Drohme Golf Club! 👏
