Under the big top, as the arena lights up, Drohme invites you to a unique evening where theatre meets the magic of the circus and oriental flavours dance under the stars.

Dear members, dear colleagues, dear golfing friends,
With great pride and deep emotion, we are pleased to announce the creation, within the Brussels Drohme Golf Club, of the very first Handigolf Academy and Section in Belgium.
This project is the result of a shared vision and a collective commitment from the entire Brussels Drohme Golf Club team. Together, we wanted to bring to life a strong and inclusive initiative that reflects the values of our club and our company.
A few words about myself
My name is Frédéric Verbruggen and I have been passionate about golf for nearly 40 years. Golf has been an integral part of my life and has offered me unique encounters and human experiences.
For several years, I have been practicing Handigolf at the international level. I have had the privilege of representing Belgium in competitions across Europe and beyond, where I witnessed how accessible and inclusive this sport can be, regardless of disability.
These moments of sharing – such as playing alongside visually impaired, deaf, or amputee athletes – have profoundly touched me and convinced me of the importance of creating a space where everyone can discover golf in a supportive and adapted environment. It is with this spirit that I am now committed to the Brussels Drohme Golf Club.
A strong and inclusive initiative for the Brussels Drohme Golf Club
With the creation of this Handigolf Academy and Section, our club becomes a pioneer in Belgium and affirms its role as a key player in promoting inclusion through sport.
Our main goals:
🌱 To open the doors of golf to all people with disabilities, by offering adapted and supportive conditions ;
🌍 To strengthen the image of the Brussels Drohme Golf Club as a modern and inclusive club, open to diversity and innovation ;
🤝 To create moments of sharing and solidarity among all our members, thanks to the spirit of golf and the strength of our community.
This project goes beyond the creation of a sports section: it is a human and social adventure that will strengthen the role of our club in society.
Concrete initiatives to come
In the weeks and months ahead, several actions will be launched:
- Free or reduced-price introductory sessions for people with disabilities ;
- The provision of adapted equipment ;
- The organization of discovery days and official events, including a first friendly competition and then an official **EDGA tournament in September 2026** ;
- The training of club staff members to ensure an optimal welcome for Handigolf players
- The implementation of a regular activity calendar to engage and support our future members.
The success of this project will rely on the support and enthusiasm of each of you. We count on all our members and colleagues to welcome people with disabilities as only the Brussels Drohme Golf Club can: with warmth, respect, and kindness.

Handigolf is for everyone, regardless of the nature or degree of disability.
Spread the word: to your friends, acquaintances, or anyone who might be interested in discovering this sport. Our goal is to make the Brussels Drohme Golf Club a place where everyone feels welcome, without barriers or prejudice.

Thanks and perspectives
